Local Psychotherapy

compassionate, down-to-earth, evidence-based therapy where your story shapes my approach

Your thoughts, your story, your values, and your experiences, including how you relate to your culture, whether you embrace it, question it, or feel distant from it - all matter. I strive to build a therapeutic connection rooted in our shared humanity, a space where you can show up as your full, unfiltered self, because that is often where the most meaningful change begins.

Monica Andrus, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

College of Registered Psychotherapist Ontario - Registration: #19262

I’m Monica (she/her), neurodivergent therapist, world’s biggest chocolate chip cookie enthusiast (i know where you can get the best one in toronto!), and a proud cat mom.

I specialize in working with partners/couples, BIPOC folks, queer folks, as well as those navigating unique challenges of neurodivergence, trauma, identity work, people-pleasing & more! I also pay attention to how real-world stressors, including societal shifts, political developments and environmental change can affect mental health, so clients can explore their experiences fully in context.

It is my hope to create a safe and supportive space where you feel free to show up and grow into your most authentic, messy self – tears, laughter, anger, and all. I offer in-person services in Toronto and virtual services across Canada.

Areas of Focus/ Speciality

In an effort to reduce barriers and increase access to mental health for individuals, I offer limited reduced and sliding scale rates to those who identify as economically vulnerable and/or facing financial barriers through the Safe Harbour program.
